1. Parents or adult guardians must take responsibility for participating children at ALL TIMES.
2. As these experiences form part of the tortoises' enrichment program, it will not be a formal session.
3. All participants must agree to follow all instructions given by the handlers.
4. Participants may be asked to leave the enclosure at any time during the encounter for whatever reason at the handlers' discretion.
5. Please ensure that you wash your hands both before and after the encounter.
6. No personal items or food are permitted during the experience, with the exception of cameras and video cameras. Any excess items can be stored at the information counter for the duration of your encounter.
7. Please remember that Aldabran Tortoises are extremely heavy, have very sharp beaks and are quite capable of inflicting a serious bite.
8. Do not under any circumstances attempt to climb or sit upon the tortoises.
9. Australia Zoo does not take any responsibility for any injuries that are received during the experience, including bites. First Aid will be called if required.
10. An Australia Zoo photographer will be present during the experience to capture the action. Photos can be viewed and purchased from the Fujifilm Photography Lab.
