Crikey! Easter is already a ripper at Australia Zoo and the weekend just keeps getting better.

It all kicked off on Thursday with free rides, face painting and the twice daily Hippity Hop, It’s Easter! concert followed on Good Friday with a free breakfast.

But the biggest day is tomorrow, Easter Sunday, featuring a massive Easter Egg Hunt for the kids who get to navigate through the gorgeous gardens, past the wonderful wildlife to find the hidden eggs to claim a special Easter prize.

There are photos with the Easter Bunny, free muffins and chocolate Easter Eggs too. While the kids enjoy the free jumping castle and Pirate Ship rides, mums and dads can relax to the soothing sounds of the Coast’s own delightful Gubbi Gubbi Indigenous Dancers.

And entertainment is sure to please with BW Croc, Marben the Pirate, Stevo the larger than life Crocodile Hunter, Bishki the Gorilla, stilt-walkers, a magician and the gorgeous Bunny Babes.

You can even go into the draw to win loads of awesome prizes, including a weekend holiday in Hervey Bay.

And it’s all for the price of admission. For more info call Australia Zoo on 5436 2000.

While you are there, along with being impressed by Queensland’s only cheetahs, sneak a peek at the soon-to-be open magnificent Big Cat enclosure, the Tiger Temple.

This major new attraction will feature glass walls, an amphitheatre and three great viewing areas that allow you to get closer than ever to these magnificent kings of the animal kingdom.

Tigers are one of the few big cats who love to go swimming and Australia Zoo is the only place in the southern hemisphere with an underwater viewing area.

Keep your eyes on the Entertainer for more news on the amazing and impressive new Tiger Temple.
