Crikey! It’s the most awesome thing to happen to school holidays – you can become an Australia Zookeeper for a day!

Zookeeper For A Day is a school holiday program, which is designed to give children aged 8-12 years the opportunity to experience a typical day as a zookeeper at Australia Zoo,  the kids will be given an “access all area” pass to check out behind the scenes and help the keepers take care of the animals.  This hands-on experience is educational and a really fun day out!

During their awesome behind the scenes look at a career in zookeeping, the kids can find themselves doing anything from deeding the animals to raking enclosures to identifying different bird species in the incredible rainforest aviary.  Of course there is plenty of time for cuddles and photos with all of the amazing animals!

Our young zookeeper friends can enjoy a free lunch and will be rewarded with an official Australia Zoo keeper hat and badge for their hard work and interest in conservation and wildlife! By jingo – what a great way to spend the school holidays!
