If you love wombats and would like to see the endangered northern hairy-nosed wombat, visit Australia Zoo in Beerwah. Australia’s Zoo’s interest in the conservation of all three species of wombat has increased after adopting five southern hairy-nosed wombats from South Australia in March last year. Hand-raised by experienced carer, Claire Glover, the five wombats are awaiting a new enclosed to be constructed, so they can be on display for all to enjoy.
