Crikey, spoil Mum!
News source: The Weekender, 12-18 May 2006
If you want to spoil your mum this Mothers Day, head for Australia Zoo where they'll be treated to the ultimate fantasy.
How good are our mums? They changed our nappies when we were just little tackers, took care of us when we were sick, didn't laugh at us when we had an imaginary friend... Mums really are a unique lot and the crew at Australia Zoo would like to say a big thank you this Mother's day, Sunday 14 May.
The Aussie Thunder boys will be handing out free muffins and chocolates while Prince Charming will be working his charm and handing out roses. Singer, guitarist and didgeridoo player Matt James will be serenading with tribal tunes and the Gubbi Gubbi Aboriginal dancers will be performing.
Best of all, all mums will have a chance to get pampered with free massages! Wooo-hoo
Even the animals of Australia Zoo would like to meet your Mum, in the Kiss-a-Critter competition. If mum is brave enough to pucker up, she might be lucky enough to receive a kiss to remember from one of our tortoises, snakes, elephants or dingoes and receive a special prize.
The kids will be kept busy while mum relaxes, with free rides including a jumping castle, teacup ride, trampoline and ferris wheel. There will be free face-painting and a colouring competition.
Grab an activity sheet on the way in and if you answer all the questions about mother animals correctly you will go into the draw to win Mum a pamper package.
There will be some awesome major prizes up for grabs, including a 14,000-foot tandem skydive with Sunshine Coast Skydiving; one night for two adults and two children including buffet breakfast at the Noosa Sheraton; two nights for two at the Narrows Escape; a double gold class movie pass; a pamper package; and some fantastic Crocodile Hunter prize packs. What a little beauty!
So if you're a bit stuck for gift ideas, head to Australia Zoo on Sunday and spoil your Mum silly, all for the price of admission.
